HANDS ON TOKYO: LIVES TOKYO 2026

Sep 12, 2026 at 3:00pm ~ Sep 12, 2026 at 7:00pm

“We want to create an inclusive society where each person’s individuality can shine; where everyone can work together, eat together, and laugh together.”

HANDS ON TOKYO’s annual event, “LIVES TOKYO 2026” will be held this September for the ninth time, exploring the current challenges and future possibilities of those with disabilities.

This year’s theme is “Hello, AI: A Day to Discover a New You.” Through our activities at Hands On Tokyo, and through conversations with people with special needs, people with disabilities, and their families, we have come to realize that in Japan, it is still a difficult environment for people with disabilities and other diverse characteristics to live and work in society.

We want to create a society where each individual’s unique personality shines, where everyone works together, eats meals together, and laughs together. With this in mind, HandsOn Tokyo launched the “LIVES Project,” which focuses on the themes of “working, eating, and laughing” for people with disabilities.
