Jimmy Carr Brings His Dark, Rapid-Fire Wit to Tokyo This Winter

Jan 06, 2027 at 6:00pm ~ Jan 06, 2027 at 9:30pm

The English comedian’s new tour, “Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny,” lands in Tokyo on Wednesday, January 6, 2027, doors opening at 6pm and the show starting at 7pm. Carr is known for a deadpan delivery and a willingness to go to places other comedians avoid, and the show’s own promotional copy doesn’t pretend otherwise, warning that his brand of humor “is not for” everyone.

For those who do like it, the appeal is straightforward: relentless joke density, sharp misdirection and a stage presence built almost entirely around the one-liner as an art form. Tickets are priced at ¥9,000 for advance sale, available until 8:59pm on the day of the show.
