Metropolis Beach Party 2026
Jul 11, 2026 at 3:00pm ~ Jul 11, 2026 at 7:00pm
Tokyo gets hot in July and the solution is not air conditioning. It is a beach, a DJ and a cocktail with your name on it (well, a “Mixed-Up Cocktail,” but close enough).
On July 11 from 3pm to 7pm, Metropolis takes over Voyager’s Kaito Yuigahama Beach House on Yuigahama Beach in Kamakura for an afternoon built for exactly one purpose: getting you out of the city and into the water. Voyager built its reputation as Japan’s No. 1 DJ bar in Shibuya, and for the summer, it has extended that energy to the sand.

Here’s how the afternoon goes. Dance to live performances on the deck. Eat off the BBQ. Make friends with strangers over free samples of Red Eye Louie’s.

When it gets too hot, walk straight into the ocean (showers are available afterward for a small extra charge, because nobody wants sand in the train seats). When the sun starts dropping toward the horizon, grab a cocktail and watch it go.

Now, about that prize. Every ticket gets entered into a raffle, and the grand prize is a two-night stay at Hilton Okinawa Sesoko: beachfront, turquoise water, the kind of place people screenshot and caption “someday.” Somebody walking off this beach on July 11 is going home to book flights to Okinawa.
Stick around for other prizes too: a beauty treatment certificate from Elana Jade, fitness classes from Club 360 and certificates to some of our favorite restaurants in Tokyo. T-shirts and other merch will be handed out through the afternoon while supplies last (and they will not last long, so don’t be the person who shows up at 6:45pm).

Since the party doesn’t start until 3pm, make a day of it. The Kamakura Daibutsu is a short trip away and worth the morning. Yuigahama Beach itself has plenty of public eateries if you want lunch with a view before the party starts.
