Midtown Christmas 2026 runs Nov 26–Dec 25 at Tokyo Midtown, with a new champagne lounge and a Ralph Lauren ice rink.
A New Lounge and Bubble Lights in the Garden
Tokyo Midtown in Akasaka marks this year’s Christmas season under the theme ‘Midwinter Night’s Dream.’ The soap bubble illumination from last year returns to Midtown Garden, joined by the new Midwinter Lounge.
The main illumination, Midwinter Lights, uses gradients of light and color to depict a snowy forest at night, glittering Christmas streets and an aurora in a winter sky. A four-minute show set to original music features floating soap bubbles, an effect that runs through Dec 20 this year, longer than last year.

Midwinter Lounge
New this year, the Midwinter Lounge serves champagne, original cocktails, light meals and sweets.
The menu includes fries with a choice of three toppings and a parfait. A deck about 1.5 meters high gives a wider view of Midwinter Lights, with standing and seated areas.

The Dreaming Tree
A real fir tree about 8.5 meters tall glows with gold light, and this year’s tree is themed a “dreaming tree.”

MIDWINTER SANTA STORY
A giant picture book stands in front of the Tree Shower on the Galleria’s first floor, with small Santa figures placed throughout the building. Stamp stations line the way, and each stamp layers onto the last to complete a postcard design.
