Gideon Juckes and Asaka Igarashi bring tuba, cello and voice to Hatchobori on Sept. 5.
The Field will play its second live concert at Nanahari on Sept. 5, 2026. The Tokyo-based duo pairs Gideon Juckes’s tuba with Asaka Igarashi’s cello and voice.
Their music draws from folk traditions and new composition. The result is intimate, acoustic music shaped by low brass, bowed strings and close vocal textures.
Folk-Inspired Music for Tuba, Cello and Voice
The Field describes its work as “intimate music, ancient & new.” Juckes handles tuba, while Igarashi performs cello and voice.
The compact lineup keeps each sound exposed. Listeners can follow the tuba’s weight, the cello’s movement and Igarashi’s vocal phrasing.

The Field’s Second Tokyo Performance
This concert marks The Field’s second live performance. It takes place at Nanahari, a small basement venue near Hatchobori Station.
Doors open at 7pm, with the performance starting at 7:30pm. Admission is ¥3,500.
