UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Special Exhibition, The World of Traditional Performing Arts — Kabuki, Bunraku, Noh, Kyogen, Gagaku, Kumi-odori, previously canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will be finally held from November until March 2022. Each traditional performing art will show their peculiar beauty at Tokyo National Museum, designated as an Important Cultural Property. This is the first ever exhibition that will provide the opportunity to experience being on the real stage, taking a look at the real stage costumes, props and instruments. There will also be instruction videos by the performers and technicians and a virtual museum tour available online.

Opening hours: 9:30pm – 5pm (Pre-order is recommended)

Closed day: Mondays (except January 10), January 11
