Tokyo Pride 2026, formerly known as Tokyo Rainbow Pride, returns as a celebration of love, diversity and inclusion. The 2026 theme, “Equal rights today. A freer, fairer tomorrow,” highlights ongoing efforts toward marriage equality and legal protection for the LGBTQ+ community in Japan.

Tokyo Pride 2026 Highlights:

Pride Festival: Held on June 6–7 from 11am to 6pm at Yoyogi Park Event Plaza. The festival features booth exhibitions from corporations and non-profits, along with live stage performances. MCs include Thelma Aoyama and Durian Lollobrigida on Day 1, and Miyu Nakagawa and Baby Vaggy on Day 2.

Pride Parade: Join the march on June 7, starting at 12pm. Participants walk a 3km route through Shibuya and Harajuku, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility. Pre-registration is required for participants.

Pride Night: Celebrate the culmination of the weekend on June 7 from 6pm to midnight at AISOTOPE LOUNGE, featuring music and performances. This is a ticketed event.

Youth Pride: Aimed at younger generations, this festival-style event takes place on June 13–14 at WITH HARAJUKU HALL. The theme “One Friend, One Love, One Future,” focusing on community connection and peer support.

Queer Art Exhibition: From June 3–28, visit the exhibition at Queer Space Tokyo in Minato-ku. The exhibit will showcase diverse artistic expressions from the LGBTQ+ community.

Human Rights Conference: Engage in discussions on critical human rights issues on June 20 from 1pm to 5pm at Ochanomizu University in Bunkyo-ku.
