LED TOKYO Co., Ltd. opens “Tokyo Rainbow Summer Festival” at LED DAIBA STUDIO inside the DECKS Tokyo Beach complex from July 16 through August 31, pairing air conditioning with the sights and sounds of a traditional summer matsuri.
Massive LED screens wrap around the studio, projecting digital fireworks, goldfish, water lilies, taiko drums and starry skies alongside physical yagura (festival towers) and paper lanterns. The result is a fully lit, photo-ready space that doesn’t rely on the actual weather cooperating.
Game stalls get a digital makeover too, with glowing cyber ring toss, shooting galleries and scooping games for both kids and adults. A lottery draw offers a chance at prizes, including televisions.
Two motion-interactive games round out the lineup: bowling and soccer, both tracking players’ real movements on screen. Cold drinks, including ramune (a carbonated Japanese soft drink), are sold near the entrance, handy for a break during a walk through Odaiba Marine Park.
