Youth Summit 2026 holds its final on Sunday, September 27, at Hilton Tokyo’s Fuji Ballroom, where seven finalist teams present projects addressing social issues under the theme “Social Innovation by Youth, Advancing Inclusion.”
The finalists were selected from 23 teams that competed in a preliminary round on August 9 at Frontier International in Shibuya, following four months of mentorship and project development. Judges evaluated teams on mission and vision, social impact, teamwork, and innovation.
Finalist Teams
- Threads of Connection — bridging generations through crafts, storytelling, and community connection
- ANZEN — breaking language barriers in disaster preparedness through visual tools and community engagement
- BLUE PECO — building community resilience through banana-based initiatives
- STARt — supporting youth from social care backgrounds through life information and community connections
- MiraiHer — breaking barriers and empowering girls to pursue STEM
- Literacy Across Generations — bridging the English education gap through accessible reading and community connections
- BuddyBridge — bridging differences through inclusive friendships and shared life experiences
Schedule
- 9:30 a.m. — Guest check-in
- 10 a.m. — Opening and host’s greeting
- 10:15 a.m. — Youth presentations (7 teams)
- 11:15 a.m. — Talk from past Youth Summit winners and an introduction to Hands On Tokyo’s youth program
- 11:35 a.m. — Awards and judges’ feedback
- 12:15 p.m. — Networking (optional)
- 1:30 p.m. — Event ends
This year’s event uses AI interpretation, accessible via QR code. Attendees are asked to bring a personal device and earphones to connect.
