Loosen your belt and get ready for Tokyo’s top Thanksgiving dinners

Reserve your spot for a gourmet—yet reasonable—Thanksgiving dinner featuring brown lentil and thyme soup; arugula salad with beetroot and feta cheese; roast turkey with all the trimmings; and homemade pumpkin cheesecake (¥3,500 adults/¥2,500 kids). A vegetarian entrée of grilled tofu and eggplant in a port wine-cardamom reduction is also available.

The enticing Thanksgiving course menu at star chef David Chiddo’s “urban chophouse” includes butternut squash soup with seared scallops; pan-fried foie gras with spicy greens, dates and walnuts; and, of course, roast turkey with chestnut and sausage stuffing and all the fixings (¥8,500). Dessert is a pairing of pumpkin tart and pumpkin gelato. Reservations recommended.

California Grill Yoshi
Enjoy a six-course meal with grilled turkey Caesar salad, roasted turkey breast with berry sauce, and pumpkin pie, which will be offered in addition to the usual dinner menu (¥3,990). Special turkey brunches will also be available (¥3,000).

Checkers & Marble Lounge
These two restaurants at the Hilton Tokyo hotel offer a family-friendly way to celebrate Thanksgiving. At the lobby-level Marble Lounge, the special brunch buffet features over 80 dishes, including traditional roasted turkey and pecan pie, plus a clown performance and special cold-stone “Marble” ice cream (¥6,500 adults/¥3,500 kids). Upstairs at casual brasserie Checkers, the dinner buffet includes turkey with cranberry sauce and glazed ham with apple sauce, plus a selection of more than ten desserts (¥7,480/¥4,950). Guests can add ¥2,772 for a “wine buffet” featuring all-you-can-enjoy wines from around the world.

Ekki Bar & Grill
Head to the classy and resplendent Ekki Bar & Grill and let Executive Chef Tsutomu Konishi prepare your Thanksgiving feast. At lunch, there’s white bean and bacon soup; sautéed spinach and bacon; and roast turkey breast with sweet potato puree and stuffing (¥3,900). Dinner includes all that plus spicy smoked salmon with candied walnuts and turkey casserole (¥6,800)—and what’s more, you can get one free dinner with each group of four people. Reservations recommended.

This restaurant and grill from California-cuisine pioneer Masakatsu Kato will be celebrating Thanksgiving Day with a festive dinner of romaine salad with herb dressing and fruit tomatoes; wild mushroom soup; and roasted turkey from Elements’ wood-fired oven, served with seared foie gras, gravy and cranberry chutney. Dessert is pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream (¥6,000). Reservations are a must!

Good Honest Grub
Turkey Day at GHG stretches all week, with a course dinner of tomato soup, salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed veggies, and roast turkey with stuffing and homemade cranberry sauce. Vegetarians aren’t left out, either: a meatless option comes in the form of baked tofu, lentils and smoked eggplant, served on a bed of nut-flavored couscous and finished with a sweet bell pepper sauce. Both dinners (¥4,800 adults/¥3,000 kids 12 and under) include homemade dessert and either coffee or tea. Reservations are required, and takeout/catering services are also available (¥3,000).

Hard Rock Café
The world-famous Hard Rock Café will be serving a special Thanksgiving menu at all three locations in Roppongi, Ueno and Yokohama from November 21-27. The meal includes roast turkey served with gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and seasonal vegetables (¥1,800).

Enjoy a fantastic course menu from the old Fujimamas team, including roast turkey with gravy, traditional stuffing, cranberry-ginger relish and pumpkin pie (¥3,000 adults/¥1,200 kids). Vegetarian options are also available, and the price includes a welcome drink. Seating limited to 25 per night.

Roti Roppongi
Roti’s luscious three-course dinner includes herbed goat cheese with caramelized figs or smoked duck, Roquefort orange and beetroot salad, followed by the main attraction, roast turkey with sausage chestnut stuffing and all the trimmings (¥4,500 adults/¥2,500 kids). Vegetarian alternatives are also available. Dessert is a silky-smooth pumpkin custard or hot chocolate pudding with cappuccino ice cream. Stop by on November 29 for a Thanksgiving Sunday brunch.

Savor an elegant Thanksgiving dinner in the luxurious Hotel New Otani. Evening seatings are ¥10,500 (plus 10 percent service charge) each night, or try the Thanksgiving brunch with free sparkling wine (¥6,600 adults/¥3,300 kids aged 4-12).

Tucano’s Brazilian barbeque is offering a Thanksgiving feast in addition to its all-you-can-eat churrasco buffet. Enjoy roast turkey with stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and pumpkin pie as part of the all-you-can-eat menu (¥2,999 for 90 mins or ¥3,500 for 120 mins). Also featuring daily samba dance shows (¥500 charge).

Everyone’s favorite waterfront brewery-slash-restaurant will be serving a Thanksgiving dinner course (¥4,000) with corn chowder, roast turkey with stuffing and all the fixings, and a pumpkin tart for dessert. The meal will be offered on Thanksgiving Day only, so book early.
