A colony of Nazis has been inhabiting a military base on the far side of the moon established by their ancestors in 1945, preparing a giant spacecraft they will use to invade the Fatherplanet. A lot of people don’t know this. It’s an amusing premise, and the SFX are pretty good for the $10-million budget, but the execution remains, um, earthbound. This Finnish Euro-lark is clearly striving for a Dr. Strangelove (or even Galaxy Quest) satiric punch, and indeed slips in the occasional gag (loved the Sarah Palin-esque US president), but it’s all pretty forced, clearly culty, and not all that funny.
