Consume an entire kilogram of noodles for just ¥1,200 at new ramen joint Menya Todoroki (3-1-4 Naka-Meguro, Meguro-ku) near Naka-Meguro station. This hefty signature dish is called ML, loosely named after diminutive female big-eating champ Tomoko Miyake, who puts away 4.9kg of the stuff herself. (Side note: Miyake also holds the record of scoffing 20 burgers of 250g, plus fillings, in under 45 minutes.) The amazing thing about the kilo challenge is that it comes with your choice of gyoza, gohan or karaage—just to round out the meal. If you don’t fancy stepping up to that plate, grab their standard ramen (¥700), stamina ramen (¥750), tsukemen (¥750), or mazemen with various toppings (¥800).
