The Austrian energy drink’s dance music fest touches down in Tokyo. This year’s first-ever Asian RBMA promises a full month of music events, workshops, public lectures and exhibitions featuring over 250 artists. Visionary producer James Holden will join the likes of Luke Vibert at Liquidroom for the two-day Electronic Music of Art Festival, while Queens hip-hop godfather Marley Marl will perform alongside top producer Just Blaze for the Red Bull Music Academy Special at Harlem’s Red Zone. Other highlights include South London low-end maestro Coki, who will mount the stage with fellow Digital Mystik, Mala, while sound artist Ryoji Ikeda will offer a large-scale public light installation—plus much, much more.
