New York’s famous Sunday-afternoon house-party crew Body and Soul just left town, but now comes the founder of what some call the “West Coast Body and Soul.” Marques Wyatt created Deep at Johnny Depp’s notorious Viper Room in the mid ’90s, and the party continues to draw hundreds to its new home at Vanguard. In addition to hosting the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Wyatt has also built a name for his own sets behind the decks at clubs from Shanghai to Tel Aviv. Expect plenty of soulful grooves and uplifting vibes as Solid resident DJs Marshall, Kai and Megumi celebrate six years of bringin’ the love in Shibuya.
