Kakigori Café & Bar Yelo (1F Roppongi Patio, 5-2-11 Roppongi, Minato-ku) has taken Japan’s all-time summer favorite, kakigori (shaved ice) to the next level. The café offers many unique flavors including tiramisu (¥800) topped with mascarpone and cocoa powder, tea (¥750) using authentic chai and jelly, or carrot and mascarpone (¥900) if you want a healthier treat. All can be customized to your liking, and for those feeling a little more YOLO there’s an adult version topped with liqueur served after 6pm. Unlike the usual crunchy stuff, this shaved ice is so soft and fluffy it’s like eating snowflakes. Takeout option available.
