Korean director Jin Kyu Kim takes live painting to a new level in The Drawing Show. With paintbrushes and a bit of digital magic, Kim shows how artists like Leonardo Da Vinci, Jackson Pollock—and for the Japan debut ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai—created their masterpieces. Paintings are brought to life on the canvas of a giant cube in a non-verbal performance combining live art with music, dance and humor. Kim and his producers’ hope is to create a new kind of spectacle to rival the likes of Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group.
