The Japan edition of ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL, the world’s largest urban dance music festival, ULTRA JAPAN 2023 hits TOKYO ODAIBA ULTRA PARK this September, bringing some of the world’s top DJs to Tokyo. On top of an already packed lineup featuring heavy hitters such as Peggy Gou and Skrillex, the team behind the event have just dropped their second lineup announcement. Added to the main stage, Kenny Beats–a renowned beatmaker who has produced albums for many internationally acclaimed artists including Ed Sheeran and Roddy Ricch, joining him and returning to ULTRA JAPAN for a second time around is Mykris, a DJ and producer hailing from France.

Added to the RESISTANCE stage is house music gem Nic Fanciulli and Hiroko Yamamura, a Japanese-American techno and house DJ named as one of Chicago’s top 10 DJs by XLR8R magazine. On top of that, Chklte, a house producer based in the U.S. and Spain will make his debut appearance this year.

The Miami-born party is globally known as the best of its kind and has been a solid trailblazer for dance music festivals. Since its 1999 inception, it has been held in over 21 countries worldwide. The Odaiba location sets a particularly atmospheric mood, overlooking the urban bay and concrete skyline of the city. It’s hard to believe this surreal world of music and dance is just 15 minutes away from Shibuya.

This September marks the eighth year of ULTRA JAPAN. The event was held in 2022 for the first time in three years, and anticipation for the 2023 edition is high. Ever at the forefront of culture, the festival hosts a space for music, fashion, art and performance. This year the lineup includes the esteemed DJs Axwell Λ Sebastian Ingrosso, Boys Noize, DJ Snake, Endless Summer, Hardwell, Peggy Gou and Skrillex as well as a plethora of other artists for a weekend of dance and music appreciation.

As an ultimate party experience, the festival is often graced by the presence of celebrity guests who compete to secure expensive VVIP entrance at the Miami edition. ULTRA JAPAN 2023 promises to be full of firsts, lowering its entrance age for the first time to now allow those aged 18 years old and over. It is confirmed that some firm favorites will be returning, such as the well-received LADIES ONLY AREA. Ultimately, the event is a place for hardcore fans and ULTRA JAPAN virgins alike, regardless of age, gender or nationality.
