Head of the House of Dior at age 21, founder of a prêt-à-porter empire, the first living fashion designer to have a solo show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a man of notorious appetites, Yves Saint Laurent was larger than life. Photographer Jeanloup Sieff was privileged to have access to the designer and shot numerous monochrome photographs of his subject. This show presents nude portraits taken in 1971 for the launch of the eau de toilette YSL Pour Homme. Shown in Japan for the first time, they shocked the world of fashion and made Saint Laurent an outsized presence in the 1970s.
