Flows is an annual music festival launched in parallel with the Nujabes Metaphorical Ensemble project—carrying Nujabes’ music forward, plus Francois K., Knxwledge, STUTS, and more artists. Enjoy a space welcoming to families and children!

Line-up
Nujabes Metaphorical Ensemble—where live instrumentation and programming seamlessly blend – is steadily advancing toward the musical horizon Nujabes aimed for.
Francois K.—An unparalleled artist, who continues to exert a profound influence on the scene well into his 70s, will also be joining flows this year. His entire life with music – from performing at the Paradise Garage and touring with his close ally Larry Levan, to establishing the enduring Body&SOUL party – is a living archive.
Knxwledge—A member of Stones Throw and a next-generation beatmaker garnering global attention. He rose to prominence with a style that carries on the legacy of Madlib and J Dilla, contributing tracks to numerous artists including Kendrick Lamar and Joey Bada$$.
STUTS—who has now transcended the boundaries of hip-hop, will make an appearance, following sold-out performances at Nippon Budokan in 2023 and the upcoming arena show in September this year. His performance, where the creativity that has produced countless classics like “Yoru wo Tsukuihatashite” and “Presence” is unleashed, is sure to be a deeply moving experience.
Captain Vinyl—the duo comprising DJ NORI and MURO – two of Tokyo’s globally recognized top vinyl diggers – will also be performing. Drawing mainly from their vast collections of 45s, they deliver wide-ranging sets primarily focused on soul, disco, garage classics, and house music.
Abiu—she will bring the dual expertise of a deep record collector and a DJ who intimately understands the party floor. She prove her skills on countless dance floors, her sets are deeply rooted in the rich history of house music, capturing its pure essence and charm.
w.a.u—whose members are active as producers, singers, and DJs, and constantly transform into various styles, will present their DJ set. They are arguably the most notable next-generation entity.
Other information
The teaser video, featuring Nujabes’ track “Ordinary Joe,” is also now available. In addition, they offering a diverse and delicious selection of food vendors: everything from tacos and curry to oyster dishes.
