Chasing Light Japan Tour 2026: Live Rock Music in Tokyo

American Rock Band in Tokyo
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan, live music remains a major part of the country’s entertainment culture, with thousands of performances taking place each year across venues ranging from arenas to small raibu hausu[live houses]. Those smaller venues often deliver the closest connection between artists and audiences—and occasionally leave your ears ringing long after the last encore.
Direct from Las Vegas, Chasing Light arrives in Tokyo for a stop on the band’s Japan tour, bringing a high-energy mix of hard rock, alternative rock and emo. Fronted by vocalist Helena Harris, whose career has included performances alongside Warrant, Quiet Riot, Kingdom Come, The Cult and Yungblud, the group pairs soaring melodies with driving guitar riffs and arena-sized choruses shaped through years of touring across the U.S.
The lineup also features five Tokyo acts that reflect the city’s independent rock scene. The KOJI Band, Matt Adore, Stuck in Skin Collective, The Beat Jackers and Pirates Japan each bring their own style to the bill, while DJ MIYU BROKEN FINGERS keeps the energy going between sets. Think of it as a playlist that escaped your headphones and found a stage.
Hosted at GAMUSO ASAGAYA, a longstanding fixture of the local live music circuit, the event offers an up-close setting where international and local artists share the same stage. If you’re looking to discover new bands rather than hear the same festival headliners for the hundredth time, this is one night worth adding to your calendar.
