October 18, KURA will present the first solo exhibition of GHOSTCHARCOALS. Having gained phenomenal popularity on social media, he now invites visitors to experience the delicate details embodied in his works firsthand. This exhibition removes the distance once mediated by the screen, creating a space where viewers can engage directly with the artworks.

CRUMBLE is an invitation to find strength within fragility. The exhibition explores the vulnerability of charcoal dust itself and our own pursuit of achievement through practice and resistance to impermanence.

GHOSTCHARCOALS’ portraits reflect a personal engagement with the raw and the immediate.Each drawing is created in a single session, always in one go. In the artist’s personal reflection, the works reveal his restlessness and urgency in engaging with the paper. This energy appears in the brushstrokes, in pieces that often feel “unfinished.” Within this uneasy, agitated, and uncomfortable state lies a fertile ground for resilience.
