Swiss kickboxer Marine Nicol talks training, competition and representing Switzerland in Tokyo, 2 days before facing Mona Kimura at K-1 World MAX.
Swiss kickboxer Marine Nicol will meet fans in Shibuya on Sept. 10, 2026, ahead of her K-1 World MAX debut.
Hosted by Swiss Club Tokyo, “In Her Corner” brings Nicol to Jissen Women’s University for a talk and audience Q&A. Two days later, she faces undefeated Japanese fighter Mona Kimura at Yoyogi National Stadium Second Gymnasium.
Meet Marine Nicol Before Her K-1 Tokyo Fight
Nicol arrives in Tokyo with 31 professional fights and a record of 25 wins and 6 losses.
Her titles include the 2025 Swiss WAKO Pro championship and the 2021 savate boxe française world championship. She also won elite and open K-1 WMAC world titles in 2025.
At “In Her Corner,” Nicol will discuss the work behind competing at an international level. The conversation will cover training, preparation and life as a professional woman in combat sports.
She will also speak about representing Switzerland on one of Japanese kickboxing’s major stages.
Marine Nicol Faces Mona Kimura at K-1 World MAX
Nicol’s appearance comes 2 days before K-1 World MAX 2026 on Sept. 12.
She will face Mona Kimura in a women’s flyweight bout contested over 3 rounds, with an extension round if needed. Kimura currently holds a 4-0 professional K-1 and Krush record, including 2 knockout wins.
The matchup brings together contrasting experience levels. Nicol enters with 31 recorded fights, while Kimura has remained unbeaten since her professional debut.
Nicol’s background in savate also makes kicking technique an important part of the matchup. K-1 has highlighted the potential kicking exchanges between the 2 fighters ahead of the bout.
