HANGRONAN and KEPURA continue the Japan-Korea indie music exchange project with a joint show at KATA on Oct. 9.
RECIPROCITY 2026 Tokyo brings the Japan-Korea indie music exchange project to Ebisu on Oct. 9, 2026. Korean band HANGRONAN and Japanese band KEPURA will share the stage at KATA, located on the 2F of LIQUIDROOM.
The Tokyo show follows four RECIPROCITY performances held in Seoul during the first half of 2026. Each paired artists from both countries around different sounds and concepts.
A Japan-Korea Indie Music Exchange in Tokyo
RECIPROCITY was created to connect the independent music scenes of Korea and Japan through joint live performances. Rather than building a large festival lineup, each show centers on a small number of artists sharing one bill.
The 2026 Seoul series covered indie pop, rock, crossover sounds and shoegaze across four rounds. The project now moves to Tokyo for its next chapter.
For the Oct. 9 performance, HANGRONAN represents Korea alongside Japan’s KEPURA. The two-band format keeps the focus on each act’s full live performance rather than short festival sets.

RECIPROCITY 2026 Tokyo takes place at KATA, an event and gallery space inside LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu. The venue is about a 3-minute walk from JR Ebisu Station’s West Exit.
Doors open at 7:15pm, with the performance starting at 8pm. The event is standing only.
Advance tickets cost ¥3,900, with a separate drink fee required at entry. Advance sales begin Sep. 1 and run through Oct. 8, subject to availability.
