Tokyo City Keiba (TCK) is the city’s beloved racetrack located in the heart of Tokyo. “Twinkle Race” is a Night Racing event filled with events and an enthralling competition. Delicious bites such as dango and takoyaki are available with drinks, and don’t forget to stop by the souvenir shop before you head out. That’s not all, the betting tickets and entry fees are only a hundred yen each. There are three floors available in the arena, but make sure you get your ticket before they sell out. 

Snacks and food at the race course

From July 31 to August 4, 2023, TCK held a special friendship exchange event “Santa Anita Week” in cooperation with America’s Santa Anita Park during the 7th race event at Ōi Racecourse. This year’s event marked the return of summer racing after a four-year hiatus. The horse racing venue was filled with burgers, BBQ and Blue Moon Beer to top off the American vibe. Lastly, the official cocktail of the Kentucky Derby “Mint Julep” was sold at the venue, tying together the event for a perfect American Derby race atmosphere.

One of the exciting events that took place during Santa Anita Week was the “JRA Jockeys Talk Stage.” During the Santa Anita Trophy race day, renowned jockeys, such as Yutaka Take and Mirco Demuro spoke as guests. They passionately discussed the characteristics of American horse racing and what it takes to conquer the Kentucky Derby from a jockey’s perspective.
