TOKYO NODE, the information hub inside Toranomon Hills, brings back the Toranomon Advertising Festival for nine days from Friday, October 9th through Saturday, October 17th, 2026 — stretching the run out from last year’s eight days. The inaugural edition pulled in over 17,000 visitors, more than half of them in their twenties, and organizers are billing this year’s event as Japan’s largest advertising creative festival, with an even larger lineup of talks, screenings, exhibitions, and hands-on programming.

The first wave of confirmed speakers spans well beyond traditional advertising: creative director Kashiwa Sato, interface designer Yugo Nakamura, director and choreographer MIKIKO, and actor Mirai Moriyama are among nine names announced so far, alongside creative directors Naoki Ito, Shinji Kawamura, and Makoto Shinohara, designer-artist Tomoe Shinohara, and actress Kyoko Hasegawa. The mix reflects the festival’s pitch — a gathering point for advertising, design, technology, and entertainment, aimed as much at students and young creatives as industry veterans.

Behind the scenes, the organizing committee has grown to include CyberAgent and Hakuhodo DY Holdings alongside returning members the Society of Idea People and Mori Building. Cannes Lions, The One Club for Creativity, and Tokyo’s Ad Museum Tokyo are back as collaborating organizations, joined this year by the Tokyo Copywriters Club, and the festival’s dates overlap with the international marketing conference ad:tech tokyo, running October 21st to 23rd. Design duties continue with Kenjiro Sano and Yumi Katori, with copy from Megumi Ota.

Tickets go on sale at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, through the festival’s official site. The event runs across TOKYO NODE’s 8th floor and 45th through 49th floors at Toranomon Hills Station Tower.
