Kodomo no Nomimono

If the kids are feeling left out from all the fun the grown-ups are having but left their fake IDs at home, Japanese beverage-maker Sangaria provides a compromise with Kodomo no Nomimono—beer for kids.

Served in what resembles a beer bottle, the beverage itself is a non-alcoholic, apple-flavored soda (not containing any trace of apple); but once poured into a glass, it foams and fizzes just like the good stuff. Don’t like apple? Nomimono also comes in vanilla beer—yum!—and melon soda. Why? Because, Japan. Also, it contains fish oil.

Available in select supermarkets, liquor stores, and bars nationwide.
