After Turkey and mash tatters smothered in gravy, the food most associated with Thanksgiving is hot apple pie served à la mode with a cup of steaming coffee. Here just in time for the holidays is a whole eatery devoted to the hearty dessert, Granny Smith Aoyama (5-8-9 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku. Nearest stn: Omotesando. 03-3486-5581). The antique furniture and Hank Williams music make for a down-home feel that is perfect for enjoying four varieties of homemade pie, including Dutch crumble and English custard (¥550 for eat in, ¥400 for take away). You can add a scoop of ice cream to eat-in orders for ¥50, and to sweeten the deal even more, douse your slice with one of four varieties of sauces, including maple and raspberry. Quiche is available in limited supplies for lunch, and hot coffee and espresso help wash everything down.

Open daily 10am-9pm.
