One of Buenos Aires’ top tango orchestras is sashaying its way through the country, with a pair of nights scheduled at Nakano Sun Plaza. Founded by bandoneon player Roberto Alvarez in 1989, Color Tango upholds the romantic traditions of the Decareana School, which began in the ’20s and was popularized by masters like Osvaldo Pugliese. The orchestra will be joined by three pairs of dancers, including Chizuko & Diego, the Japanese-Argentine couple who beat 400 pairs to take top prize at the 2010 Tango Dance World competition in Buenos Aires.
