The largest Google Cloud hackathon in JAPAC (Japan and Asia-Pacific) is kicking off, and it’s open to applicants across the region.
AI Builder Cup 2026 invites working professionals to build a working AI prototype, choosing one of six challenge themes: BFSI, Retail & Commerce, Manufacturing, Media & Digital Experiences, Future of Work, or Sustainability & Social Impact. Submissions must run on Google AI models like Gemini or Gemma, or be built on agentic platforms such as Agent Platform, Antigravity, or AI Studio, and be deployed on Google Cloud via Cloud Run or Firebase.
Who can join:
- Teams of 2–4 members
- Participants must be 21 or older
- Open to applicants from across the JAPAC region
What’s at stake:
Shortlisted teams will travel to Singapore for the Grand Finale on Dec 4, where they’ll present their solutions to Google Cloud leaders and industry experts. The competition offers a total prize pool of $30,000 USD.
Registration deadline: Oct 11 (teams must be formed by this date; prototype submission deadline is Oct 18)
