“async – immersion” Friday Night Session

Azabudai Hills Gallery stays open late on Oct 2 for a Friday night session of “async – immersion,” the exhibition that pairs Ryuichi Sakamoto’s music with visuals by Shiro Takatani and three-dimensional sound by ZAK.
Instead of a solo visit, the evening centers on sharing the work with others. Guests can drift between the exhibition and the tea space, take in the installation over a cup or two and swap impressions along the way. The hosts, ochayoi, build their gatherings around the experience of “tea drunkenness.”
On the same night, Roka Ongaku (literally “corridor music”), a recurring music event that takes over the hallways of Azabudai Hills, also runs. For this session only, ticket holders can leave and re-enter the exhibition, making it easy to catch both.
