Cats in Ukiyo-e Exhibition

The Ota Memorial Museum of Art is Proud to present ‘Cats in Ukiyo-e’, an exhibition showcasing a selection of wonderful ukiyo-e art pieces from history that feature cats! Cats were the most popular animal to appear in these paintings from the Edo period and they can be seen posing as pets, frightening monsters, or personified beings partaking in different activities. The artworks perfectly capture the humorous, adorable, and mysterious nature of these feline creatures.
Time: 10:30am – 5:30pm (Last Admission at 5:00pm)
Entry Fee:
- Adults: ¥1,200
- University/ High School Students: ¥800
- Junior High/ Elementary School Students: Free
