Shonan Summer Series 2026 Returns to Hayama’s Morito Beach

The first chapter of the Shonan Summer Series 2026 comes to a close with a laid-back beach gathering at Hayama’s iconic Morito Beach on July 12. Hosted by Mixed Up Cocktail, this free-entry event brings together music, friends and seaside vibes for an afternoon celebration of everything that makes summer in Shonan special.

Taking place at Under the Palmo, a seasonal beach lounge set along the sands of Morito Beach, the event will transform one of the area’s most scenic waterfront spots into a relaxed dance floor overlooking the sea. Guests can expect an eclectic soundtrack curated by Shonan Balearic, the local DJ collective known for its thoughtfully crafted parties and sunset sessions across the Shonan coast throughout the year.

Festivities begin at 2 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m., with sets from several DJs connected to the Shonan Balearic community, including popular selector @maayathe_bee. Whether you’re a longtime follower of the local music scene or simply looking for an excuse to spend a summer afternoon by the beach, the event offers a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Access is easy from Zushi Station—simply take a bus to Morito Beach and follow the line of beach huts to Under the Palmo at the far end of the beach. Admission is free, although guests are encouraged to purchase at least one drink. And while you’re there, keep an eye out for the event’s signature Pink Flamingo can holder, a fun souvenir to remember the day.
